Grrrrr.

*kick smash*

GRRRRR.

No AJ. No MS. No drama.

Not even directing...

'Scuse me while I go log a few hundred hours on my WWI flight combat thingy... oh, wait, I have to be up tomorrow. And doing things all day.

Grrr.

*sticks tongue out at Emmys*

Yeah, I KNOW people were saying beforehand that AJ and the series had pretty well maxed out on the winning thing. And I KNOW that if MS was gonna win, it should have been for 2C. I just... and they were in the front row, too. It would have been so much easier for one of them to get up than most of the other nominees.

And nobody from [livejournal.com profile] aapfa hurt me, please--I am really happy that AA won. But having him win in absentia is not the same thing... and since SC didn't win her category either... well, okay, I wanted more tribute to John Spencer about as much as I wanted the win for any of the actors or for the series.

I'm sure I'll have calmed down by the time I end my ninety-hour day tomorrow.

Oh, and:

"Margaret!"

grr

yeah, i feel you. it pissed me off too, especially since the "new rules" were designed to get new people to win. Nope, didn't happen.

Grrr.

Oh well, we know what they deserved. And the Emmy's are all politics anyway.

Yeah. I mean, I have nothing in particular against 24, but honestly... better drama???? Hello!

See, I was all nice and calm when I got up, and I came here after class and I'm all angsty again. Argh!

I don't think any of the [livejournal.com profile] aapfa members is going to hurt you for saying that about Alan's win--I think most of them would agree with you (myself included.) Out of the two Emmys and Oscar Alan's been nominated for in the last couple of years, he's not there to accept the only one award he actually wins. It's a damn shame.

If his schedule had permitted, though, I have no doubt he'd have been there tonight (or last night, by now.)

Speaking of things that should have been, Allison Janey or Martin Sheen should have won (frankly, the entire cast and crew should have Emmys, because West Wing was one of the best shows to have ever graced the small screen--if leave out Season 5). One of the articles I read about the Emmys complained about how even with the new rules, some of the old favorites, such as Allison and Edie Falco, were still being nominated. I don't think it had occured to the author that perhaps some of those 'old favorites' were nominated again because they truly deserved it, and not for some other purpose.

I'm sorry if this is a bit incoherent or rambly. It's late at night and I've been staring at a computer screen for too long. My thoughts are all jumbled.

I was pretty sure I'd be okay saying what I did--but the oddest things spark all sorts of whatever in fandom sometimes. :)

And yeah, I thought about that too--that he wins and he's not there. *argh*

Your rambling makes sense to me! And I actually wanted Martin Sheen to win even more than Allison *ducks fruit thrown by everybody who knows she's a huge AJ fan ;)* because, hey, no win for season 2.

I think I'm a bit rambly myself. It's probably from going from high-level geology to TWW. Not exactly a smooth transition. :)

"Margaret!" *sniffle*

Also? *blows raspberry at Emmy people* You guys suck. Go away now.

(I didn't watch it-no tv-but I'm sure I'll get too see it at some point. And it'll still make me mad.)

Amen!

There's a Josh/Donna comm where people were posting while watching, and when I got on afterward I could tell when the awards were announced, because there was a sudden spate of 'shit' and 'shit times [some large number here]'. I almost wish I hadn't taped it, but I might watch Conan mocking things again to soothe my anger.

Whenever you do watch it, make sure you have something nonbreakable on hand that you can hit or throw or whatever. Even though I kinda like Kiefer Sutherland, I was actually yelling when he got it and MS didn't.

See, I like Kiefer as much as the next Canadian girl, but...come on. It was Martin's last-ever nomination for The West Wing, and I don't think he'll ever do another series, let alone one that good. He should have won and gone out on top. Kiefer can win for 24 again next year.

Luckily, I live alone and have no neighbours with which to bother while I scream and curse at the television. *G*

Randomly, I love that you used 'spate' in a sentence. You never see that anymore.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Bwah! Thanks. I used 'dearth' today too. I was trying to find a way to say it'd been slow without saying it'd been slow, 'cause, hey, the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing. ;)
